Our Linking Generations Share and Care Programs allows our younger generations of students to visit regularly with seniors who are now in their latter stages of life and living in a long-term care facility.
Our young students spent the afternoon colouring with their seniors over laughter and shared stories. When all the books were completed, the books were stapled so that the students could read them to the seniors. And as an added treat, the students then left the books with the seniors to enjoy with their own family members.
This visit kept our participating seniors and students busy for the entire visit time and was within our EICS curriculum for the students.
