Spring is here and what better way to celebrate it than inviting our Linking Generations seniors from Heartland Housing Cloverbar Lodge to a tea in their honor at our partner school Ecole Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. As seniors entered the school, students quickly rose to greet them and usher them into the library, where tables were decorated and set with china from years past and cookies and cake. “I used to have this china pattern”, remarked one senior. as she shared memories with the students on bringing her china out for’ special occasions’.
Ecole Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) has been involved with Linking Generations since 2004 and estimates that over 500 students have shared their lunch hours with our community seniors from Heartland Housing Cloverbar Lodge.
