Linking Generations Grandparent Grandpa Bernie

Kids are born scientists, curious about the world around them and how it all fits together. And science experiments are great ways for children to explore the world, learn about the scientific method and just have fun. Our Volunteer Grandpa, Grandpa Bernie, had a special experiment planned for this day.

Grandpa Bernie gave each student a plastic plate, he then added a milk into plate until the bottom was completely covered. He then added drops of 4 types of food coloring into the milk. The students then dipped their Q-Tip into soap and then dipped the Q-Tip into the milk. The fun began then. The food coloring began to swirl around the milk.

One of the students figured out how to ‘paint’ pictures!
