St. Patrick’s Day, celebrated on March 17, marks the death of St. Patrick, the 5th-century missionary credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland. It evolved from a modest religious feast into a global celebration of Irish culture, featuring parades, wearing green, and Irish food.
We had a great visit today with 22 Grade Two students and 12 Summerwood Village seniors. Students played the dice game “Race To The Top” and coloured shamrocks for the seniors to decorate the lodge for their St. Patrick’s Day celebrations tomorrow.
