Linking Generations is Excited to Kick Off our 2016/2017 Program Year!

Linking Generations is excited for the start up of our 2016/2017 Program Year. Watch for us in September as we host our Student and Senior Information Events.

We are thrilled to offer our programs this year to five partnership schools and senior facilities. Our partnership schools and senior residences are:

Lakeland Ridge Junior High and Silver Birch Manor/Lodge (Heartland Housing)

St. Theresa Middle School and Bedford Village Residences

École Our Lady of Perpetual Help Junior High School and CloverBar Lodge

Salisbury Composite High School and Sherwood Care

Archbishop Jordan High School and Chartwell Country Cottage Residence

Linking Generations programs are totally supported by donations from corporations, businesses, foundations, government grants, and individuals.  Our programs are offered at no cost to the individual teens or seniors so as to enable all to participate regardless of economic circumstances.   We are so grateful for all of our funders and sponsors support. We believe that our Linking Generations Programs continue to open new opportunities for seniors to interact with youth.  Linking Generations believes that our community as a whole benefits from supporting seniors to share their lifetime of experiences and wisdom.  Our programs help to ease the loneliness that seniors face, that it fills an essential need for emotional connections and provides the seniors with a sense of contributing to society.  Our wish is that we are helping to develop responsible citizenship for youth while recognizing the importance of respecting and cherishing our elders.
