Canada 150 Contest : Sharing Intergenerational Stories
Linking Generations is honoured to partner with LINKages in a special contest open to youth ages 30 and under and adults 55+. We hope the contest will inspire our local youth and seniors to connect and share stories of Canada, while learning from one another. The contest is all about youth and older adults sharing their stories and learning’s of Canada. Through this intergenerational story telling project, we’re hoping to capture Canada’s culture, history, and heritage through the experiences of Canadians.
Our youth and seniors created journals, story books, videos, and paintings. We are so proud of our students and seniors contest entries – they all focused on the connections between different generations of Canadians.
On June 30th, 2017 LINKages will seal all of the submissions in a time capsule that will be opened on July 1st, 2067 — aligning with Canada’s 200th Year Celebration!
