Linking Generations Society of Alberta is seeking a Board Treasurer to join our dynamic Board of Directors. The Treasurer provides fiscal oversight of the non-profit organization, ensures that effective financial measures, controls, and procedures are put in place. As a member of the Board of Directors, the treasurer will report to the Board at regular intervals about the financial matters of the organization.
The Treasurer oversees the preparation of reports to the Board detailing income, expenditures, and asset values and presents a financial report at each board meeting. The position also provides oversight and guidance on the preparation and completion of the annual audit, special financial reports, and tax submissions as required. Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
Ensure month-end procedures are accurate and timely. Must have experience in using Quickbooks.
This is a voluntary board position, and is for a minimum 2 year term.
