This past week, St. John Paul II Junior High School students brought smiles to the seniors living at Heartland Housing Dr. Turner Lodge. The students spent time going from window to window showing the seniors the posters that they made and to bring smiles and joy to the senior residents.
The seniors were so happy to see the students waving their posters, they would smile, laugh, clap and give them a thumbs up! The seniors truly enjoyed the surprise!
We at Linking Generations are so proud of our Linking Generations students and our school partners. It is heartwarming to feel the caring, the generosity of spirit and the compassion that our schools and students have towards the seniors in our community.
