Kids love crafting caterpillars using simple materials like pom-poms, egg cartons, clothespins, or paper, often inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
These activities are great for fine motor skills and range from painting to creating.
Our Capital Care Strathcona senior participants loved the visit and our elementary students from Ecole Pere Kenneth Kearns School could either take their caterpillars home or leave them for the seniors.
Students also read to their seniors and asked questions about their past experiences.
