The Linking Generations Volunteer Grandparent Program was created in 2019 in response to a lack of opportunities for young and old to relate in an increasingly age-segregated society. Under this program, Senior volunteers can volunteer within a school Environment – Grades 1-6 in different schools in Sherwood Park and The City of Fort Saskatchewan.
Senior volunteer Grandparents share skills, knowledge & experience, all while providing a valuable community service. Our Volunteer Gramma Allie, taught her grade 3 class how to plant, nurture and grow beans from seed this year.
