The 2018 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXIII Olympic Winter Games and commonly known as PyeongChang 2018, is a major international multi-sport event scheduled to take place from 9 to 25 February 2018 in Pyeongchang County, South Korea.
For all of our Linking Generations visits this month, each senior/student team will be celebrating their own Winter Olympic Festivities. Teams will learn the different country flags that will be seen flying during this special time, what each Olympic sport is and what is entailed within the sport. Each team will have chosen a team flag to cheer on and represent during the games. If the team they have chosen are winners, then our Linking Generations team wins too !
This winter Olympic visit was held with Summerwood Village Retirement Residence and students from École Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School (OLPH)
