Our first visit with students from New Horizons Charter School – Junior High and their ‘linked’ seniors from Silver Birch Haven. We are thrilled to have this new partnership and we are excited about the visits that will occur over the next 10 months. Thank you to New Horizons Charter School for opening their hearts to our cause, and to Heartland Housing- Silver Birch Haven for embracing our program expansion. The students had a mix of emotions, from nervousness to excitement, before meeting their seniors for the first time, but it was so worth it – Smiles and hugs were evident from the introductions onwards. The students are looking forward to getting to know their seniors more and the seniors now are waiting for Tuesday to arrive quickly.
