September brings the start of our 2019-2020 program year, and our Official First Visits. Our Linking Generations Intergenerational programs provide “mentored and structured visits” aimed at building relationships between seniors and youth in our community. Our programs bring two generations together so they can share their knowledge and life experiences and to encourage volunteering and social responsibility in youth. Students from Salisbury Composite High School visit with their ‘linked’ seniors from Sherwood Care. These visits are extremely important to our seniors from Sherwood Care.
